Since 1888, Founder Andres Brugal had a single and fundamental goal – the pursuit of the best. It is the foundation that the home of Brugal was built, and now extends beyond the Dominican Republic to all corners of the world.

Each generation has seen Brugal Maestro Robero leave their distinctive mark – using innovative techniques and unwavering passion to continually bring something exceptional to the art of rum-making.

Now owned by international drinks group, Edrington, the team wanted to celebrate 135 years of cask expertise by launching their exclusive, limited-edition ‘Colección Visionaria, Edición 01’ in 2024 – a blend crafted by fifth-generation family member and Maestra Ronera, Jassil Villanueva.

THE BRIEF

To compliment the one-of-a-kind matte gradient bottle envisioned by the talented agency – Apartment 103 – Edrington approached us to find the perfect fit of embellishments to complete the beautiful artisan-feel aesthetic.

THE SOLUTION

To enliven the ombre style of bottle, we created a statement Marque™ neck wrap feature, with embossed textural diamond pattern, overlaid with a strong and prideful shout to the BRUGAL name.

The paper-feel footer label added interesting contrast, and perfectly matched the dark aspect of the bottle to feel naturally blended, also boasting subtly embossed high-shine gold text features, perfectly matched with the core brand asset – the Brugal shield. A symbol that captivates the heritage and stories of bravery and ambition behind the brand ethos.

All embellishments are hand placed and wrapped in Brugal’s iconic netting – a true reflection of the legacy and craftsmanship that was born in 1888 and continues to embody everything Brugal do.

The new collection successfully debuted in market in 2024.
