The entire Blade & Bow brand is based on the story of five keys that once hung on the door of the Stitzel-Weller Distillery – the blade being the part of the key that operates the lock, and the bow being the part of the key you hold between finger and thumb. These keys represented the five steps of crafting bourbon—grains, yeast, fermentation, distillation and aging.
Blade & Bow asked us to create five different key embellishments to be hung from the bottle necks of their classic bourbon. Die cast and metal plated, each of the five designs is unique and numbered, making these embellishments both visually striking and also collectible. The keys are attached to a waxed cotton cord which is secured with a metal aglet and fixed under the capsule of the bottle as an extra security measure.
